Job description
Under close and frequent supervision, Designer assists Engineers, Project Managers, or Management by performing the routine aspects of electrical engineering assignments, subsequently providing familiarity with the programs, staff, and operating procedures of the company.
Duties and Responsibilities

Performs electrical design calculations (i.e. low/medium voltage power distribution systems, lighting, security/fire systems, data/telecommunications systems, etc.), sketches, technical comparisons and similar technical work as required by assignment.
Coordinates project assignments with those of other Engineers, Project Managers, and Management in their team.
Reviews drawings supplied by vendors, clients, engineers, and architects and recommends necessary changes.
Researches code issues and works with City, State, and County officials.
Researches design options and documents findings for Engineers, Project Managers, and Management.
Assists with duties assigned by Engineers, Project Managers, and Management.
May attend site investigations, project kick-off and design review meetings and interacts with clients as their level of experience progresses.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
Knowledge of Autodesk REVIT and AutoCAD.
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
Knowledge of Building Codes.
Ability to provide and follow written and verbal directions/instructions.
Credentials and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Possess FE certification or have the qualifications to take the Fundamentals of Engineering exam.
Four years of working experience with word processing and spreadsheet software.
Equivalent combination of education and experience will be at the discretion of the Management and will be evaluated by Management.
